New Jersey LCV Insight: As the state attempts to reach a goal of 330,000 electric vehicle (EV) sales, this bill establishes a financial barrier to purchasing an electric vehicle by phasing out one of the best and most stable electric vehicle incentives – the sales and use tax exemption on EVs. With power from the outlets today EVs are reducing air pollution more than 70% compared to combustion engines.
